The Circle Around The Cross

The Circle Around The Cross

There’s a circle around the cross
Where the weak and weary kneel with the lost
To plead for mercy in desperate prayer
And find forgiveness is granted there.

There’s a circle around the cross
Where we will bow in worship and in awe
To break His body and share His blood
Granting forgiveness, giving his love.

Chorus:
What a wonderful trade at the throne of grace
Where a debt was paid for a dying race.
What a sweet reunion at the fount of love
Drawing communion from the heart of God.

There is a circle around the cross
Where all our teardrops have stained the dust.
As a mark of hope, they mingle til that day
When sorrow’s tears are washed away.

Chorus

There’s a circle around the cross
Where hand-in-hand we stand and count the cost.
Oh we must take his cross up as our own,
But we will never bear his cross alone.

Chorus
