This Heartache

This Heartache

I drove a long time through the rain today.
God, it can’t be right that I should feel this way.
This is like a movie or some awful dream.
I can’t believe it’s happening to me.
I stopped and I prayed like so many times before.
But is feels like you can’t hear me anymore.
I can fake a smile, but that doesn’t stop the pain.
Only you can make it feel good again.

CHORUS:
Cause this heartache is bringing me back to you.
Oh I know what I need now.
This heartache is making me see the truth.
I can’t go on and I can’t stop.
There’s nothing that I can do.
So I’ve got to believe
That this heartache is bringing me back to you.

I’ve made up my mind to turn back the clock
And remember the times when I could feel your love.
And until this is over, I’ll believe like I did then
And remember the joy `til I feel it again.
